"Songs From The Seventies" by Barry Manilow
Rhino Entertainment will be releasing the "Songs From The Seventies" by Barry Manilow DVD on January 29, 2008. Rhino, in association with Stiletto Television, captures the artist's triumphant return to his old neighborhood where he sings his biggest hits and some great covers from the decade that made him famous.
This two-DVD set includes the television special in 5.1 Surround Sound on the first disc, plus a bonus disc featuring an unaired mini-concert of alternate performances, along with behind-the-scenes footage.
Performing live in his old Brooklyn stomping grounds, Barry Manilow's latest DVD is the best sort of homecoming. A wonderfully entertaining television special, "Songs From The Seventies" was filmed in September 2007 at the old Navy Yard in Brooklyn, "right down the block from where I grew up in Williamsburg," as Manilow explains onstage.
