I was a 17-year-old high school senior, when I totalled my dad's Explorer and suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI). The other injuries (broken bones, collapsed lungs, etc.) healed fairly quickly. Recovery from a TBI is a much longer process, though. Please join me as I travel along that "Road To Recovery".

Latest Update
Pictures from the year 2000 and early 2001 have been added to the site. Recent highlights include:
- Attending classes both online and at our local community college.
- Singing in the church choir.
- Horseback riding on my pals Crackerjack and Raffi.
- Moving with my parents to our new house in Saline (outside of Ann Arbor).
- Visiting Pittsburgh for my grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary.
- A road trip to Florida for an intensive 3-week series of hyperbaric oxygen treatments at a world-class HBO center.
Currently we are beginnning a course of scalp acupuncture treatments and talking with a chiropractor who is a brain stem specialist. More later on our ongoing search for continued improvements...

Like TBI recovery, building this web site is also a long-term process. My parents and I started it, to help me remember what has happened. Perhaps others can learn from it, too. Primary pages on the site at this time are as follows:
